Do I need a special license to rent a car in Bali?
You need a valid driving license. For foreigners, an International Driving Permit (IDP) Category B (for cars) along with your home country license is required. A SIM A (Indonesian car license) is required for locals.
Is it safe to drive a car in Bali?
Bali's roads are generally in good condition, but traffic can be busy and driving customs differ from Western countries. If you're not confident, booking with a driver is recommended — they know the roads and best routes.
What's included in the rental price?
All rentals include the vehicle, basic insurance, and 24/7 WhatsApp support. Self-drive rentals require a refundable deposit. Fuel is not included.
Can I take the car on a ferry to other islands?
Yes, but you must inform us in advance and arrange additional insurance coverage. Popular ferry routes include Padangbai to Gili Islands and Gilimanuk to Java.
How does the driver service work?
Our drivers are experienced locals who know Bali's roads and attractions. They work 8-10 hours per day with flexible scheduling. Fuel and driver meals during the trip are typically the renter's responsibility.
